BU Today "Close-up" coverage.
A photo of Kayleigha (a woman with long dark brown hair and wearing a crimson sweater and black jeans) standing inside the Panthera tigris installation and looking up at confetti stars as a glowing orange tiger is projected onto a structure behind and around her constructed from reclaimed pallets and fencing. The text reads: Panthera tigris - In the 360-degree immersive mixed media experience Panthera tigris, on view at BU’s Joan and Edgar Booth Theatre September 3 and 4 and 7 and 8, MFA lighting design candidate Kayleigha Zawacki (CFA’14,’22) (pictured) explores themes of sustainability and wildlife conservation using lighting, sound, scenery, and projected animation. Combining these, she’s created a one-of-a-kind interaction with one of Earth’s most regal, and endangered, species--the tiger. Showings, which are every 30 minutes, are free, but tickets are required; open to BU community members only. Learn more at PantheraTigrisMFA.com. Photo by Cydney Scott
